The front cover of "The Ballad of East and West" consists of two girls, one from Great Britain and the other from the former Soviet Union standing together with the Berlin Wall in the background.   The front cover of "The Secret of Redemption" consists of two clergymen standing together in Northern Manhattan, separated by the artificial boundary of east and west of Broadway. One clergyman is a rabbi and the other is a Latino minister.  In the back cover, two young women are embracing, a Jewish woman from North America and a Palestinian woman from East Jerusalem with the separation barrier standing in the background. In "A Human Rights Odyssey," a white Jewish high school student and a Black high school student are standing together with the St. Louis Arch and the Old Courthouse in the background.  What do all four images have in common?   Two people from diverse backgrounds trying to find common ground.  That should be the metaphor for the twenty first century.
